To prepare for a Sciton Bare HR laser hair removal treatment, you should avoid sun exposure, waxing, or plucking, and be sure to shave the treatment area 24-48 hours before your appointment. Additionally, it's a good idea to discontinue any chemical exfoliants, wear comfortable clothing, and arrive with clean skin.

During the treatment, patients can expect minimal discomfort as the design offers two modes, Speed and Comfort. Both settings allow patients to experience cooling from a constant contact crystal. You may feel a mild “snap” sensation, but the built-in cooling system helps to minimize discomfort. You can expect mild redness or swelling after treatment, which usually subsides within a few hours and there is no downtime.
You may notice a gradual reduction in hair growth as the treated hairs shed. Over time, hair thickness and density will decrease. You will need to follow the aftercare instructions, including applying sunscreen and avoiding sun exposure. Having subsequent appointments will allow you to achieve best results.

After a Sciton Bare HR treatment, focus on sun protection, gentle skincare, and avoiding heat. Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily, avoid direct sun exposure, and use a gentle, non-perfumed moisturizer. For 48 hours, avoid harsh exfoliants, hot showers, and strenuous exercise. You can resume normal activities, including makeup, 24 hours after the treatment.
