How it works.
1. Microneedling
A handheld device with fine needles punctures the skin, creating micro-channels. This stimulates the body's natural healing process, promoting collagen and elastin production.
2. PRP
PRP is a concentrated portion of the patient's own blood that is rich in growth factors. It is injected into the skin through the micro-channels created by microneedling. The growth factors in PRP further stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture.
What to expect:
Many see noticeable improvements after just one treatment, but for truly transformative, long-lasting results, a series of four or more treatments is ideal. While individual results may vary, you can expect to see continued skin improvements for up to six months after your final treatment.

To ensure the best possible results, please reschedule your appointment if you have a sunburn on the day before your scheduled procedure.
This procedure cannot be performed on active breakouts or open lesions. Please consult with your provider before your SkinPen procedure to address any concerns.
It's important to wait at least six months after using isotretinoin before undergoing the SkinPen procedure, as isotretinoin can impair wound healing and increase the risk of scar tissue formation.
Please avoid sun exposure 24 hours before the procedure and discontinue using topical products containing Retinol or Vitamin A for 24 hours prior to your SkinPen procedure. Additionally, allow 48 hours after using spray or self-tanning lotions before your procedure.
The treated area may be pink and mildly inflamed, similar to a mild sunburn for 24-48 hours following your SkinPen procedure. This is normal and should subside within 24-48 hours.
Your provider will advise you to keep your skin clean of cosmetics or sunscreen for the remainder of your day post-procedure.
If you are on autoimmune therapy, please ask your provider if you should refrain from taking any medications prior to your SkinPen procedure.

Day of procedure: Please refrain from strenuous exercise or activities that cause excessive perspiration. Increased blood flow and sweat can irritate your skin.
Do not use any topical products not provided by our office for this procedure. This includes cosmetics, cleansers, sunscreens, and moisturizers.
Avoid sun exposure, as you will not be wearing sunscreen. You may resume sunscreen use the day after your procedure, but please continue to minimize sun exposure for one week.
